Iran: New Wave of Arrests
On the anniversary of Iran’s November 2019 uprising, several former political prisoners were arrested or summoned by Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).
Last week, a number of released political prisoners were re-arrested and a number were summoned. One of the detainees has leukemia and his arrest poses a high risk to his life.

Two young brothers were arrested by security forces
Mohammad Ka’bi and his brother Ali Ka’bi were arrested by security forces on Sunday in Shush County in SW #Iran. They were taken to an unknown location. The reason of their arrests, the charges and their whereabouts are not known.

Shocking Deaths of 6 Students Prompt Ban on Suicide Reports in Ramhormoz
The Department of Islamic Culture and Guidance in the city of Ramhormoz issued a directive banning reporters and journalists in this city from covering news of suicides. The measure comes in the wake of suicides of six high school students in Ramhormoz, in Iran’s Khuzestan Province in a short period of time.
After a 15-year-old student took his own life in Ramhormoz, it was reported that another five students in this city had done the same earlier.

State Forces Fatally Shoot Kurd Man in West Iran
A Kurdish man was arbitrarily shot dead by the State Security forces in a Kurdish village on Tuesday night, November 17, 2020. The victim was Saadi Rostamzadeh from Uraman Takht village in the Iranian Kurdistan Province, western Iran.
Security forces were engaged in hit and run battles with Kurdish retailers and businessmen when they opened fire on unarmed citizens. As a result of this brutality, Saadi Rostamzadeh was shot and killed in front of his own shop.

Iran: Coronavirus Death Toll Surpasses 157,900 in 465 Cities
The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI / MEK) announced on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, that the Coronavirus has taken the lives of more than 157,900 people in 465 cities across Iran. The death toll in various provinces include: 38,591 in Tehran, 11,700 in Khorasan Razavi, 8,880 in Isfahan, 8,870 in Khuzestan, 6,675 in Lorestan, 5,892 in East Azerbaijan, 4,016 in Golestan, 4,065 in Hamedan, 5,268 in West Azerbaijan, 4,320 in Fars, 4,065 in Hamedan, 3,916 in Sistan and Baluchestan, 3,453 in Kermanshah, 2,978 in Central, 2,742 in Yazd, 2,678 in Kerman, 2,528 in North Khorasan, 2,390 in Semnan, 1,780 in Hormozgan, 1,733 in Ardebil, 1,719 in Bushehr, 1,610 in Qazvin, 1,450 in Ilam, and 1,235 in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari.

Cold, sick, and starved: Iranian prisoners persecuted by authorities
According to reports obtained from Tehran’s Evin prison, severe cold and lack of access to heaters in Ward 4 has made several prisoners sick. Coronavirus has spread among inmates in Ward 4. There are at least four prisoners who have tested positive for Covid-19. Many of the sick prisoners have not been tested and are being kept with the rest of the inmates without any quarantine measures. The lives of many are at risk.

WHAT ARE THE IRAN PROTESTS OF 2019?
Wednesday, November 18, 2020, marks the 362nd day since the beginning of the nationwide Iran protests.
The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) has identified 828 of the more than 1500 protesters killed by the regime so far.
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has called on the United Nations to urgently send an international fact-finding mission to Iranian prisons to meet with the detainees.
