Regime affiliated inmates rape young prisoner with impunity in SW Iran

Adelabad prison in Shiraz

Three inmates affiliated with prison guards raped a 22-year-old prisoner in Shiraz’s Adel Abad Prison in southwestern Iran.

An informed source told Javaneha website that the 22-year-old was gang raped by three older inmates, elements of the prison’s Intelligence Protection agency. The source, who asked that the raped prisoner remain anonymous said the young man has been detained for four months in the prison’s section 11 for getting into a fight.

Network data from the NetBlocks Internet Observatory confirm a partial disruption to internet service in Iran between 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. local time (4 p.m. to 7 p.m. UTC) on Monday, 16 November 2020.

Metrics show an anomalous three-hour period of reduction in connection quality and speed impacting multiple networks, corroborating user reports of issues accessing international services, including VPN services.

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI / MEK) announced on Monday, November 16, 2020, that Coronavirus has taken the lives of more than 156,700 people in 465 cities across Iran. The death toll in various provinces include: 38,241 in Tehran, 11,590 in Khorasan Razavi, 8,805 in Isfahan, 6,645 in Lorestan, 6,475 in Qom, 6,442 in Mazandaran, 5,832 in East Azerbaijan, 5,214 in West Azerbaijan, 4,275 in Alborz, 4,275 in Fars, 4,035 in Hamedan, 3,423 in Kermanshah, 2,940 in Markazi (Central), 2,820 in Kurdistan, 2,707 in Yazd, 2,648 in Kerman, 1,708 in Ardabil, 1470 in Zanjan, 1,420 in Ilam, and 1,386 in South Khorasan.

Amnesty International: A WEB OF IMPUNITY – The killings Iran’s internet shutdown hid

In November 2019, security forces in Iran killed at least 304 men, women and children during five days of protests which swept across the country. Security forces used lethal force unlawfully against the vast majority of protesters and bystanders killed, shooting most to the head or torso, indicating intent to kill. To this day, no official has been held accountable for the unlawful killings. The deadly crackdown was accompanied by the authorities shutting down access to the internet for most of the population.

Twitter users reminisce Iran’s “Bloody November” in response to regime’s indifference

Over 1,500 were Killed in the Iranian People’s Nationwide Uprising in November 2019

On the first anniversary of the November 2019 anti-government protests that swept across Iran, Twitter users used the hashtag #كدام_آبان, “Which November?” to commemorate fallen protesters, and to express their outrage over the brutal suppression of the protests.

The hashtag started when the sister of a slain protester was called by the office of the regime’s Supreme Leader.

Teenage Kurdish girl Aynaz Zare’e sentenced to five years in prison

Teenage Kurdish girl Aynaz Zare’e has been sentenced to five years in prison. The First Branch of the Penal Court of Urmia which specially examines cases of teenagers and minors, sentenced Aynaz Zare’e, 17, to five years in prison on Monday, November 16, 2020. The teenage Kurdish girl Aynaz Zare’e has been imprisoned since October along with her mother, Shahnaz Sadeqifar in the Central Prison of Urmia. She is charged with “acting against national security” for membership in a Kurdish party. She did not have access to a lawyer during her prosecution.

WHAT ARE THE IRAN PROTESTS OF 2019?

Tuesday, November 17, 2020, marks the 361st day since the beginning of the nationwide Iran protests.

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) has identified 828 of the more than 1500 protesters killed by the regime so far.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has called on the United Nations to urgently send an international fact-finding mission to Iranian prisons to meet with the detainees.
