Storeowners, college and high school students, and people from all walks of life marked the third anniversary of the November 2019 uprising with general strikes and protests in dozens of cities across the country. The crucial business sector joined the protests in force today with more than 60 bazaars in 36 cities on strike.

Merchants in Tehran’s Great Bazaar closed their shops, protested against the regime and encouraged others to join their ranks. People in the city of Sanandaj, the capital of Kurdistan Province, began installing roadblocks with fires and taking over their streets.

College and high school students in many cities boycotted classes and took to the streets to launch anti-regime rallies. More than 50 of the largest universities have reportedly participated in the uprising today.

The strikes spread to dozens of cities, including Fardis Karaj, Shahriar, Lahijan, Rasht, Sari, Babolsar, Babol, Tonakabon, Gorgan, Isfahan, Falavarjan, Shiraz, Yazd, Arak, Marvdasht, Najafabad, Miandoab, Zahedan, Bandar Abbas, Tabriz, Zanjan, Evaz, Sabzevar, Samirom, Kermanshah, Oshnavieh, Marivan, Saqqez, Bukan, Sanandaj, Kish Island, Abhar, and Bandar Ganaveh. In Tehran, shop owners of Manuchehri Bazaar and Tehranpars also joined the strikes.

Protests continued in at least 30 different locations in Tehran during the day, including Naziabad, Tehransar, Shahrak-e Gharb and Tehranpars districts, Janat Abad, Jomhuri, Valiasr, Amir Kabir and Ashrafi streets as well as metro stations such at Valiasr and Sadeghiyeh, the Grand Bazaar, and San’at Square. People chanted “death to the dictator”.  Protesters resisted security forces and blocked roads while chanting anti-regime slogans, including, “We will fight, we will die, we will take back Iran,” “This is the year of sacrifice, Seyed Ali (Khamenei) will be overthrown”. In Tehran’s Enghelab Street, young protesters set the suppressive forces’ motorcycles on fire and chanted, “Mahsa, Hadith, Siavosh, Fire is our response to Fire”.

Mashhad high school students marched in the city, chanting “death to the dictator”. In Izeh, southwest, and in Shahr-e Kord, southern Iran, security forces fired teargas at the protesting crowds. In Arak, central Iran, the security forces used scattershot to disperse the crowd but to no avail.  In Kamyaran, western Iran, the protests blocked the roads. In Marvdasht, Fars Province, southern Iran, an IRGC Basij base was set on fire. In Shiraz, the capital of the southern Fars Province, the protesters chanted slogans against the regime and the paramilitary Basij forces.

Protests also continued in other cities, including Urmia, Mashhad, Babol, and Shiraz, where the people set roadblocks at the Molasadra crossroads and demonstrated. Videos obtained from Sanandaj show security forces opening fire on protesters. The people of Gohardasht, Karaj also held protest rallies.

Us Navy: 70 Tons of Missile Fuel from Iran to Yemen Seized

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — The U.S. Navy said Tuesday it found 70 tons of a missile fuel component hidden among bags of fertilizer aboard a ship bound to Yemen from Iran, the first-such seizure in that country’s yearslong war as a cease-fire there has broken down.

The Navy said the amount of ammonium perchlorate discovered could fuel more than a dozen medium-range ballistic missiles, the same weapons Yemen’s Iranian-backed Houthi rebels have used to target both forces allied to the country’s internationally recognized government and the Saudi-led coalition that supports them.

One Protester Sentenced to Death and Five Others Get 5-10 Years

The Mizan news agency which is run by the Iranian regime’s Judiciary announced on November 13: “Following the trial of a number of people accused of disturbances in Tehran province, a person who had set fire to a government headquarters was sentenced to death, on charges of disturbing public order, colluding to commit crimes against national security, waging war and corruption Moharebeh by arson (deliberate incitement and destruction).”

Also, five other protesters were sentenced to imprisonment from 5 to 10 years.


Five Iran-related Oil Tankers Lose Their Flags Following U.S. Sanctions

HOUSTON, Nov 14 (Reuters) – The international ship registries of Djibouti and the Cook Islands suspended the flags on five oil tankers, following sanctions by the United States this month for having facilitated oil trade for Hezbollah and Iran’s Quds Force, a nongovernment organization United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) said on Monday.

The U.S. Treasury Department in early November imposed sanctions on a wide network of companies, people and vessels accused of concealing the Iranian origins of shipments and exporting them around the world.

60th Day of Iran Uprising; 3rd Day Memorial of Yalda Aghafazli

On the 60th day of the Iran uprising, the people of Tehran commemorated the third-day memorial of their beloved daughter, Yalda Aghafazli in a mosque in Sa’adatabad. Her friends chanted, “This flower is a gift to the nation.”

After the ceremony, they gathered outside and chanted anti-regime slogans. Security forces used to tear and pepper gas as well as pellet guns to disperse the crowd of protesters.

On Monday, November 14, 2022, the Iranian regime’s Revolutionary Guards launched a rocket-drone attack on Iranian Kurdish parties in the Kurdish region of neighboring Iraq, leaving at least two dead and 11 injured.

Iranian opposition coalition National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) severely condemned IRGC’s attack on Iranian Kurdish parties’ headquarters in Iraqi Kurdistan.

“I strongly condemn the IRGC’s criminal attack on Iranian Kurdish parties in Iraqi Kurdistan, with my condolences for the loss of our fellow Kurds and wish for the recovery of the wounded,” said NCRI President-elect Maryam Rajavi. “I urge the United Nations Security Council to investigate immediately this act of aggression violating int’l laws.”
