In the aftermath of Tehran’s recent warmongering in the Middle East last month, the ominous specter of the Iranian regime’s designs materialized once more in a chilling act of terrorism on the streets of Madrid on Thursday. Prominent Spanish politician, Dr. Alejo Vidal-Quadras, President of the International Committee in Search of Justice and former Vice President of the European Parliament, was shot in the face in broad daylight. The audacious act of terror serves as a stark wake-up call to the escalating audacity of Tehran’s mullahs.
This heinous assassination attempt demands a resolute response. It lays bare the unsettling reality that the Iranian regime, renowned as the world’s premier state sponsor of terrorism, has not only persisted but dangerously grown emboldened.

Hagerty, Scott, Colleagues Introduce Legislation Requiring State Department To Notify Congress When Senior Officials Lose Their Security Clearance
WASHINGTON—United States Senators Bill Hagerty (R-TN), a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and Tim Scott (R-SC), along with Senators Ted Cruz (R-TX), John Barrasso (R-WY), and Marco Rubio (R-FL), yesterday introduced the State Department Security Notification Act, legislation to require the Secretary of State to notify Congress when the security clearances of senior members of the State Department are suspended or revoked. Representative Brian Mast (R-FL-21) introduced companion legislation in the U.S. House of Representatives.
“The State Department’s refusal to provide transparency regarding Robert Malley and the handling of his security clearance has been deeply concerning,” said Senator Hagerty. “I’m pleased to introduce this legislation that will require the State Department to notify and brief Congress if it revokes or suspends security clearances of senior officials.”
Severe Flooding Affects 13 Provinces in Iran, Causing Loss of Lives
Based on a report from the semi-official ISNA News Agency on Friday, November 10, thirteen provinces in Iran, including Isfahan, South Khorasan, North Khorasan, Semnan, Sistan and Baluchestan, Kermanshah, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Gilan, Golestan, Mazandaran, Hormozgan, Hamadan, and Yazd, have been affected by floods and inundation. As reported by ISNA, sadly, two people lost their lives in the cities of Kalaleh and Galeshk, and another person is missing.
Flood damages occurred in seven counties of Mazandaran Province following heavy rains, with the city of Chalus being particularly affected, where five rural roads were blocked. River embankments were damaged, and the high volume of water caused significant damage to farmlands, roads, and more. One person died as a result of a fallen tree.

Iran’s Regime Is the Only Party That Benefits From the Conflict in Gaza
While awakened consciences are wounded by the horrific effects of war in Gaza, while homes lie in ruins and millions have been displaced, while many world leaders and organizations are seeking ways to prevent further damage, Iranian regime supreme leader Ali Khamenei expresses joy at the escalation of war and the massacre of Palestinian women and children.
In a recent statement, the German Solidarity Committee for a Free Iran emphasized this reality and wrote, “The Iranian regime is the only side benefiting from the conflict in Gaza. The mullahs use the conflict to keep the region unstable so that it can be used for the ideology of the Iranian regime.”
After the 2022 uprising, Khamenei tried to solidify his regime’s hold on power by expanding the scope of repression and hostage-taking. However, he did not manage to control the explosive conditions of the society. Therefore, more than ever, he benefits from the crisis and war-mongering in the region to run away from his own crises.
UN Human Rights Committee Publishes Findings on Iran
On November 3, 2023, the UN Human Rights Committee issued its findings on the Islamic Republic of Iran, Kuwait, the Republic of Korea, Trinidad and Tobago, the United States of America, and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, after examining the six countries in its latest session. Regarding its findings on Iran, the committee wrote: “The Committee was disturbed by legal provisions that continue to discriminate against women and girls, particularly the ‘Support the Family by Promoting the Culture of Chastity and Hijab Bill,’ which imposes severe punishments on women and girls for violations of the mandatory dress code, including up to ten years in prison and flogging. It was also concerned about the redeployment of morality police to monitor the dress code in public. It urged the State Party to reform or repeal laws and policies that criminalise non-compliance with compulsory veiling, specifically the “Bill to Support the Family by Promoting the Culture of Chastity and Hijab”. It also asked the State party to disband the morality police.”
Iran Is Failing Largely at Preserving and Supporting Its Human Capital
The results of a recent study indicate that according to the Global Talent Competitiveness Index in 2023, Iran has a notable number of individuals with innovative and scientific skills but ranks among the worst countries in terms of preserving and supporting human capital.
This study, conducted by INSEAD, one of the world’s largest business schools, and simultaneously published in the United States and France, shows that Iran ranks 116th out of 134 countries in the overall ranking of this index, alongside countries such as Zimbabwe, Nicaragua, and Bangladesh.
However, Iran has shown significant performance in categories such as “innovation output,” “scientific publications,” “researchers,” “university rankings,” and “urbanization.” In these categories, Iran ranks 37th or higher than countries like India, Russia, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, and Egypt.
Iran: Kurdish Man at Risk of Execution
On November 6, Amnesty International issued a statement warning that Reza (Gholamreza) Rasai, 34, one of the detainees of last year’s nationwide protests in Iran, is at risk of execution.
Amnesty International says that Reza (Gholamreza) Rasai has been arrested in relation to the September-December 2022 nationwide protests in Iran and has been subjected to “torture.”
According to the report, following a grossly unfair trial, on 7 October 2023, Branch Two of Criminal Court 1 of Kermanshah province convicted him of “murder” and sentenced him to death, admitting his torture-tainted forced “confessions” as “evidence”.
