Addicted Women’s Conditions in Iran
In Iran, the people daily witness the heartbreaking conditions of addicted women on the side of highways, the corner of ruins, or in destroyed slums. Iranian officials downplay the actual number of addicts to cover up their failure to contain this social phenomenon. “Among 2.8 million addicts in the country, around 156,000 persons are women, meaning six percent of the total addicted population,” said Reza Tuiserkan Manesh, the director-general for treatment and social support in the anti-narcotics headquarters.
Narcotic Forces Fatally Shoot Three Baluch Men in SE Iran
Three men were killed on May 2 after undercover narcotic forces opened direct fire on them in Khash, southeastern Iran. According to the Baloch Campaign website, the three men were identified as 45-year-old Hamid Gomshadzehi, 20-year-old Nazir Gomshadzehi, and 20-year-old Osman Gomshadzehi. The three unarmed men were killed in their car. Suspecting them of carrying drugs, the narcotics forces opened fire on them without warning.

Iran: The Staggering Number of Coronavirus Death Toll in 541 Cities Exceeds 279,500
The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on Thursday, May 6, 2021, that the Coronavirus death toll in 541 cities across Iran had passed 279,500. The number of victims in Tehran has reached 64,501, Isfahan 18,355, Khorasan Razavi 17,315, Khuzestan 17,149, Mazandaran 11,545, East Azerbaijan 11,428, West Azerbaijan 10,403, Gilan 9,671, Qom 9,335, Fars 8,782 , Alborz 7,418, Golestan 6,960, Hamedan 6,308, Kerman 6,288, Central Province 5,833, Kurdistan 4,837, North Khorasan 4,133, Ardabil 3,557, Zanjan 3,080, Ilam 2,881, and South Khorasan 2,741.

Ex-UN Officials, human rights experts call for investigation of 1988 massacre
In an open letter to UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet, more than 150 former UN officials and human rights experts called for an end end mullahs’ regime’s impunity by establishing a Commission of Inquiry into the 1988 mass extrajudicial executions and forced disappearances.
The letter refers to a September 2020 report by seven United Nations Rapporteurs which states that the extrajudicial killings of political prisoners in 1988 “may amount to crimes against humanity.”
