Continuing Strikes and Protests on Wednesday

A strike held by miners in Kerman, Southeast of Iran has marked its fourth day and is spreading to other parts of the city. High school students in Tehran and other parts of the country keep protesting against the government’s decision to hold in-person exams during the fourth wave of a deadly pandemic and defrauded investors keep coming to the streets to demand answers for why they have been misled by the highest officials in the country.

On Wednesday, more reports of demonstrations in Tehran, Kerman, Tabriz, Dehloran, Hafttappeh, and Ilam tell about a nation that is not going to turn silent anytime soon.

Iran: Coronavirus Death Toll in 542 Cities Exceeds 293,200


The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, that the Coronavirus death toll in 542 cities across Iran has passed 293,200. The number of victims in Tehran has reached 68,276, Isfahan 19,455, Khuzestan 18,189, Khorasan Razavi 17,910, East Azerbaijan 11,998, Lorestan 11,885, Mazandaran 11,880, West Azerbaijan 10,953, Gilan 9,946, Fars 9,597, Qom 9,525, Alborz 8,118, Golestan 7,140, Kerman 6,573, Hamedan 6,548, Kermanshah 5,794, Semnan 5,075, Kurdistan 5,037, Yazd 4,982, Hormozgan 3,450, Zanjan 3,220, and Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari 2,400.

Iran: People and Opposition MEK Network to Boycott Regime’s Sham June 18 Presidential Election

MEK Resistance Units in Iran put up posters of Iranian resistance leader Massoud Rajavi and the President-elect of NCRI in Iran’s cities. Iranian Nurses: Victims of COVID-19 and Destructive Policies

As Iran’s Covid-19 crisis continued to escalate and many Iranians died every day, Iranian regime supreme leader Ali Khamenei banned the purchase of globally approved vaccines on January 6 and said: “American and British vaccines are not allowed in the country. I told the officials this before and I say it publicly now.” Although the regime has vaccinated a very limited number of people, medical staff and in particular Iranian nurses as high-risk groups have been victims of the regime’s inhumane policy over the past 14 months.

Iran Arrests 16 Ahwazi Arabs Including Elderly Mother of Slain Protester

Iranian authorities have embarked on a wave of arbitrary arrests of more than a dozen citizens in Ahvaz, capital of the southwestern Khuzestan Province. Among those arbitrarily arrested is the mother of one of the November 2019 uprising martyrs. The clerical regime arrested some 15 young men and the elderly mother of one of the November 2019 uprising martyrs in Ahvaz and the Port of Mahshahr from Friday, May 14 to Sunday, May 16.
