10 Kurdish citizens arrested for attending Nowruz celebration
At least 10 Kurdish citizens in the cities of Marivan, Sanandaj and Saqez have been arrested for participating in Nowruz celebrations in western Iranian cities.
At least four of those arrested are from Ney village in the city of Marivan, in Iran’s Kurdistan province near the Iraq border.
The state security forces arrested four Kurdish citizens, Salman Afra, Seiwan Parto, Jamal Gerami, and Aram Nik pey, in the village of Ney on March 23 and 24.

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on Thursday, March 25, 2021, that the Coronavirus death toll in 522 cities across Iran had surpassed 237,400. The number of victims in Tehran has reached 55,151, Khorasan Razavi 15,445, Isfahan 15,420, Khuzestan 13,669, Mazandaran 10,135, Lorestan 10,013, East Azerbaijan 9,318, Qom 8,635, Alborz 5,898, Hamedan 5,468, Semnan 4,045, Qazvin 2,689, Hormozgan 2,620, Bushehr 2,409, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari 1,915, and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad 1,809.

Political prisoner Sommayeh Qoraishi has been jailed since 6 months ago without the news of her detention being reported by the Iranian regime’s authorities or media.
She is charged with “cooperation with the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK).”
Iran: Repression on the rise in prisons
According to reports from Urmia Central Prison, Iranian regime authorities are denying inmates access to food and are increasing repressive measure to torture prisoners.
Since Tuesday, March 23, prison authorities have reduced food rations to a quarter. When prisoners protested to these measures, prison guards responded by threatening to give a seven-month extension to the prison sentence of any inmates who continues to protest.
