Iran: Coronavirus Death Toll in 522 Cities Exceeds 235,100
The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on Sunday, March 21, 2021, that the Coronavirus death toll in 522 cities had exceeded 235,100. The number of victims in Tehran is 54,801, Isfahan 15,285, Khuzestan 13,369, Mazandaran 10,050, West Azerbaijan 8,808, Gilan 8,291, Golestan 6,095, Sistan and Baluchestan 5,481, Kerman 5,204, Central Province 4,843, Semnan 3930, Ardabil 2,902, Bushehr 2,379, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad 1,789.

Political prisoner Shokouh-oz Zaman Majd contracts COVID-19 in Mashhad
Reports from inside the Central Prison of Mashhad indicate that political prisoner Shokouh-oz Zaman Majd has contracted the Coronavirus and is in dire health condition.
Mrs. Majd, 61 from Neyshabur, was taken to jail on March 5, 2021 without prior notice, and without being allowed to take her personal items of need. She is sentenced to 2 years’ imprisoned on charges of “propaganda against the state” and supporting the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran.
Iran: New Persian year, new regime crises
Another Persian year of suffering has passed under the mullahs’ theocracy in Iran. The exhausting economic and social crisis, high coronavirus casualties, and intensified repression was the result of a brutal dictatorship. For the regime, however, it was more than ever before a year full of major blows that brought the mullahs’ establishment closer to its end.
Underground Workers in Iran
‘Underground’ is routinely used for outlaw actions. Nonetheless, it has a different meaning when it comes to Iran. Today, Iran’s society frequently hears ‘underground workers.’ However, not only do these workers not take illegal actions, but they usually have to do harmful and risky jobs in exchange for two or three times less than the minimum wage to fill their food baskets.
“We have 10 million underground workers with 7 to 8-million-rial [$28-32] salaries per month. Workers do not receive any share from the oil revenues,” wrote Asr-e Bazar website on January 2.
