Thousands Of Exiled Iranians Protest In Berlin Against “Sham” Presidential Election

Agence France Presse (AFP) – Several thousand Iranian opposition members and their supporters demonstrated in Berlin against the Iranian leadership and the “sham” presidential elections. “This election is a total fiasco and shows that the regime has no legitimacy,” the German spokesman for the National Council of Resistance of Iran, Javad Dabiran, told the AFP news agency. “The Iranians don’t want this regime.”

“This regime kills people every day,” said an Iranian protester who claimed to be from the US and did not want to give her name. A large number of participants waved the flag of the Resistance Council. The President-elect of Iran’s National Council of Resistance, Maryam Rajavi, who was connected from France, said in a video conference that the boycott of the elections was a “slap in the face” of the Iranian rulers. Voter turnout, which according to the Iranian authorities was around 40 percent, was in fact much lower.

Demonstration Against The Regime in Iran: Organizers Expect Thousands in Berlin

Javad Dabiran has the best contacts in Iran, his homeland, which he left in 1978 as a 16-year-old. At that time, he emigrated to Germany. What he is hearing these days from siblings, friends, and acquaintances makes him optimistic about the political and social future of the country. “The mullahs’ regime is moving further and further towards the abyss,” says Dabiran. “Although it is exerting increasing pressure on the population, resistance is growing. The resistance should not be undermined by Western efforts to come to terms with the regime.”

Dabiran is a member of the National Council of Resistance of Iran. He describes the organization as “a kind of parliament in exile with locations in several countries.” In any case, this council is a lobby group for politics. And to show the people of Iran that they can count on their compatriots in the diaspora, they will demonstrate in Berlin this Saturday. People with Iranian roots from all over Germany and parts of Europe will gather on Bebelplatz in Berlin-Mitte. Dabiran expects “tens of thousands.” The rally begins at 2:30 p.m.

Iran’s Regime Humiliates Itself with Sham Presidential Elections

empty ballot box

In his last pleading message with the people, Iranian regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei linked participation in the sham presidential election to the survival, continuity, and reputation of the regime. He used all his resources, tricks, and forces to avoid a repeat of the mass boycott of the parliamentary election debacle in March. But despite his efforts, Iran’s people responded with a crushing boycott of the election to choose the substitute for now-dead regime president Ebrahim Raisi.

The massive nationwide “no” from the people, along with widespread activities of the Resistance Units and the brave actions of the rebellious youths of Iran, dismantled the deceitful setup for high voter turnout.

IAEA Report: Iran Regime’s Advanced Uranium Enrichment Progress

Iran-IAEA-flag

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has reported that Iran has installed half of the advanced uranium enrichment equipment it recently announced it would quickly add at the Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant. However, these devices have not yet been put into operation.

Two weeks ago, Iran informed the IAEA of its plan to rapidly expand its enrichment capacity at the Fordow site by adding eight cascades of IR-6-type centrifuges within three to four weeks. The IAEA confirmed within two days that two cascades had been installed.

According to a confidential report seen by Reuters, the IAEA updated member states on Friday, June 28, indicating that this number has now doubled. The report states that four of the eight IR-6 cascades have been installed in Unit 1 of the Fordow enrichment facility, as verified by the agency last Sunday.
