Courageous Speech in the Lack of Free Speech
While the regime’s presidential candidates were smearing and throwing dirt on one another in the third and last round of televised debates in Tehran, Iranians used every opportunity to protest and call upon their fellow countrymen not to trust the regime’s fake promises and boycott the election.

On Saturday, several reports from inside Iran indicated that rallies and demonstrations were held from farmers in Ahvaz, workers in Behbohan, landowners and retired employees of the bus drivers syndicate in Tehran, as well as metro workers in Hashtgerd that were demanding their rights and wages from the regime and its local authorities.

Iran: Coronavirus Fatalities Exceed 309,800
The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on Friday, June 11, 2021, that the Coronavirus fatalities in 547 cities had exceeded 309,800. The number of victims in Tehran has reached 72,596, Isfahan 20,775, Khuzestan 19,431, Khorasan Razavi 18,830, East Azerbaijan 12,718, West Azerbaijan 11,673, Fars 10,347, Alborz 8,843, Golestan 7,440, Kermanshah 6,043, Yazd 5,177, and Hormozgan 4,085.

Evidence Shows Afkari Brothers Tortured in Prison
Saeed Afkari, brother to executed wrestling champion Navid Afkari and imprisoned Afkari brothers, tweeted yesterday that forensics confirmed his two brothers’ injuries from torture. “According to forensics, my brother Habib has suffered a broken toe, an unhealed broken wrist, and a torn shoulder from his detainment in Intelligence. Vahid’s neck and arm are injured after committing suicide in protest to physical and psychological torture. They have been in solitary confinement for 279 days without medical treatment,” Saeed wrote in his tweet.
Iran Sentences Labor Activist Esmail Gerami to Five Years Jail, Flogging
Esmail Gerami, a 67 year-old pensioner and labor activist was sentenced to prison and lashes for participating in protests held by pensioners for higher wages in Tehran. The Haft Tappeh Sugar Cane Mill Labor Syndicate reported on Wednesday that Esmail Gerami, one of the leaders in the nationwide pensioners protests, had been fined two million tomans in addition to imprisonment and flogging.
Kurdish Conservationist Faranak Jamshidi Imprisoned To Serve Her Term
Kurdish conservationist Faranak Jamshidi was transferred to the Reform and Rehabilitation Center of Sanandaj to serve her prison term. The Revolutionary Court of Sanandaj, capital of Iranian Kurdistan Province, sentenced Faranak Jamshidi last January to four years in prison. The Appeals Court commuted this sentence to one year.
