Iran’s ‘Reformation’ Is an Illusion

The recent elevation of Masoud Pezeshkian to the presidency in Iran has sparked some misguided optimism among increasingly isolated quarters of the global community. Branded as a “reformist” by Tehran’s lobby and proponents of the long-discredited policy of appeasement, Pezeshkian is being hailed as a harbinger of change. This narrative, however, is not only misleading but dangerous.

By disseminating this myth through its “political proxies,” the regime intends to buy time to pursue its malign policy in the region, and efforts to obtain nuclear weapons, while the world will turn a blind eye to human rights violations in Iran.

Do not stay calm, do not remain silent, work is important. Iranian Security Forces Open Fire on Woman for Violating Hijab Rules

Reports indicate that Iranian regime police officers in the city of Noor, Mazandaran province, shot a young woman named Arezou Badri, whose car was on a list for impoundment due to mandatory hijab regulations. She is now in critical condition and in a coma. Some reports on social media published this news on Wednesday, July 24. An informed source at Khomeini Hospital in Noor City stated that this young woman, “about 30 years old,” was brought to the hospital’s “emergency room on Monday, July 22, after being shot by the State Security Forces (SSF).”

The car of this young woman was on the impound list for not adhering to hijab regulations. The officers ordered her to stop, but she did not stop out of fear. The regime’s SSF first aimed at the car’s tires, and their next shot hit Arezou.

Senior US Senator Introduces Plan to Curb Purchase of Oil from Iran’s Regime

US Republican Senator Lindsey Graham announced on Wednesday, July 24, a legislative proposal to impose tariffs on imports from countries that purchase petroleum products from Iran.

The South Carolina senator also wrote that he presented this plan after extensive discussions with Donald Trump, former President of the United States and Republican candidate in the 2024 presidential election.

According to media reports, Senator Graham had been discussing ways to strengthen the deprivation of the Iranian regime from oil revenues with Trump for months before unveiling the Terrorism Tariff Act.

Reports from Evin Prison in Iran indicate that women political prisoners in the women’s ward have demanded the annulment of the death sentence of political prisoner Pakhshan Azizi. According to a report by political prisoner Golrokh Iraee, women prisoners gathered in the prison yard and declared their demand for the cancellation of Azizi’s death sentence. This news outlet has called on all people of Iran to unite with political and ideological prisoners. The women prisoners announced that they would not return to their ward and would remain in the prison yard overnight.

Manchester—July 24, 2024: Freedom-loving Iranians and academics living in England, supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), organized a book fair and petition collection to back the Iranian RevolutionThey urged the UK government to designate Iran’s regime IRGC as a terrorist organization. Showing solidarity with the Iranian people’s cause for their rightful demands, as well as for regime change the attainment of freedom, and the establishment of democracy, citizens have come forward to sign the support petition. Their backing has emboldened the organizers to persist in this campaign.

This Exhibition also aimed to protest the escalating wave of executions in Iran, highlighting the oppressive rule of the mullahs’ regime.
