Speech of Maryam Rajavi at The Free Iran 2024 World Summit Day 3 -The Catastrophe of The Iranian People’s Massacred Human Rights

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi’s speech: “Fellow compatriots, PMOI freedom fighters at Ashraf-3, Honorable Legislators, Jurists, Lawyers, Respected Human Rights Experts, and Dear Friends,

“On this third day of the Free Iran World Summit, we extend our warmest greetings to those who have fought and sacrificed their lives to uphold human rights in Iran. We honor those who fight and sacrifice their lives, as they face a grim reality under the rule of oppression and injustice, enduring torture, solitary confinement, and the noose. They have forsaken their own rights to help the Iranian people win theirs. We also honor those who, like yourselves, rise to defend them and all the oppressed despite all the pressures, stigmatization, and threats. The brilliant words of the great human rights martyr Kazem Rajavi will never be forgotten. He said, “We write the history of human rights with our blood.”

The 21st edition of the Free Iran Summit in Paris attracted strong statements of support from a long roll call of high-profile supporters that included former Vice President Mike Pence.

“Why am I here?” Pence asked the crowd in Paris as well as participants in Germany and Albania to tune in via video link. “I am here because I want everyone to know the winds of change in Iran are blowing stronger than ever. It has never been as clear in my 20 years of public service that Iran will someday be free.”

Iran’s education system is grappling with a severe teacher shortage and inadequate infrastructure, according to recent statements by Babak Negahdari, head of the Research Center of the Iranian Parliament.

The country is facing a deficit of at least 176,000 teachers in its schools, with an additional 72,000 educators expected to retire by September 2024.

Negahdari attributes this crisis to two decades of irregular recruitment and employment practices in the education sector. He cited the neglect of university educator capacity development, the weakening of teacher training centers, and inconsistent employment regulations between 2009 and 2021 as key factors contributing to the human resource crisis in the Ministry of Education.
