Protesters storm southeast Iran state building after deadly border shootings
Angry protesters occupied a governor’s office in southeastern Iran on Tuesday, a day after at least two fuel smugglers were shot dead at the nearby border with Pakistan, according to Iranian media and online videos.
Iran, which has some of the lowest fuel prices in the world, has been fighting rampant smuggling to neighbouring countries, particularly in its impoverished Sistan-Baluchestan province – long the scene of clashes between security forces and separatist militants and drug smugglers.

The Houthis claimed to use four drones in Wednesday’s attack, which followed days of escalating aggression from the Iran-backed terror outfit. Meanwhile, a new report from the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change (TBI) has warned that Iran-backed militias throughout the region are growing in size, scale and lethality.

Iran: Saravan Uprising – Regime disconnects the Internet, sends reinforcements from surrounding cities to suppress the people of Saravan
Following the uprising by the people of Saravan, the residents of Keshtegan village from Bam-Posht district gathered in front of the Revolutionary Guards garrison, the Guards opened fire and the people defended themselves by throwing rocks and broke the gate to the garrison. The Revolutionary Guards and other suppressive forces killed at least 40 protesters and wounded more than 100 defenseless protesters.
According to medical sources, Razi Hospital in Saravan is facing severe blood shortages but the regime is preventing medical help. The authorities have cut off or disrupted Saravan’s internet in order to prevent the spread of the news of the uprising. It has also blocked all the roads to the city.
Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the NCRI hailed to the heroic people of Saravan and wrote in a Twitter message: “Hail to the heroic people of Saravan who stood up to the oppression and discrimination of the religious dictatorship. This is the only way for the people of #Iran to achieve their rights in the face of the mullahs’ vicious regime. I call on the courageous youths of Iran particularly in Sistan and Baluchestan Province to rise up and support the people of Saravan.”

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, that the Coronavirus fatalities in 486 cities had exceeded 220,200. Branch 28 of Tehran’s Revolutionary Court issued a 5-year sentence for student activist Leila Hosseinzadeh and banned her for two years from activity on social media.

Branch 28 of Tehran’s Revolutionary Court issued a 5-year sentence for student activist Leila Hosseinzadeh and banned her for two years from activity on social media.
Student activist Leila Hosseinzadeh has received this sentence for participating in the birthday celebration students of Sharif University held for the imprisoned Dervish Mohammad Sharifi Moghaddam.
