Iran hangs 2 prisoners
in recent increase in executions of Baloch minority prisoners
Two other prisoners were executed Saturday in eastern Iran following the recent increase in executions of Baloch minority prisoners.
Iranian authorities on Saturday executed two ethnic Balochi citizens on drug related charges.
Jamaluddin Brahui and Mohammad Barahui were executed in a prison in the eastern Iranian city of Birjand.
An informed source said that the 40-year-old man was arrested about two years ago at the Salabad checkpoint in Birjand.
Inmate awaiting amputation flogged for protesting prison conditions
A prisoner who has been sentenced to have his fingers amputated, was flogged Sunday at Urmia Central Prison.
Hadi Rostami, the four fingers of whose right hand are due to be amputated, was flogged 60 times in the 8th Branch of the Implementation Unit of the Urmia Public and Revolutionary court.
In a new case filed against him during his detention in November 2020, Mr. Rostami was charged with “disrupting prison order” and was sentenced to eight months in prison and 60 lashes by Branch 113 of the Urmia Criminal Court.

Coronavirus Takes 215,700 Lives in 480 Cities in Iran
The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on Sunday, February 14, 2021, that the Coronavirus death toll in 480 cities had exceeded 215,700. The number of victims, in Tehran is 51,691, Khorasan Razavi 14,430, Isfahan 13,820, Khuzestan 10,825, Mazandaran 9,032, Lorestan 8,828, East Azerbaijan 8,173, West Azerbaijan 7,993, Golestan 5,599, Sistan and Baluchestan 5,146, Kurdistan 3,722, North Khorasan 3,328, and Ilam 2,226.
Iranian Pensioners Demand Higher Pensions in at Least 20 Cities
Pensioners gathered outside the Social Security Organization buildings in Tehran, Karaj near Tehran, Qom south of Tehran, Arak southwest of Tehran, Isfahan and Yazd in central Iran, Tabriz, Ardabil, Qazvin, and Zanjan in northwest Iran, Mashhad, Bojnurd and Neyshabur in northeastern Iran, Kerman in southeast Iran, Shushtar, Shush, Dezful, Ahvaz and Shiraz in southwestern Iran, and Sanandaj, Khorramabad, Ilam, and Kermanshah in western Iran.
In Tehran, pensioners chanted “our main demand is that our wages equal inflation”, “high prices and inflation is a calamity for the people”, and “we will not back down until we get our rights.”

Young Iranian women activists receive a total of 10 years in prison
The clerical regime’s revision courts have upheld a total of 10 years of prison sentences for young Iranian women activists, Zahra Mohammadi and Marjan Es’haghi.
The Revision Court of Kurdistan Province upheld five years of a prison sentence for Zahra Mohammadi.
The Revolutionary Court of Sanandaj had issued a sentence of 10 years in prison for Zahra Mohammadi on the charge of “formation of a group to disrupt national security,” on February 16, 2020.
