Prison authorities barred Afkari family from visiting their sons
Five months after the execution of wrestling champion and protester Navid Afkari, concerns have raised about the situation of his imprisoned brothers.
The remaining Afkari brothers, Vahid and Habib are currently in solitary cells in the basement of Shiraz’s Adel Abad Prison in southwestern Iran.
Before Navid’s execution on September 12, all three Afkari brothers were beaten and forcibly transferred from Ebrat ward to separate solitary cells in the basement.

In a letter addressing Mrs. Michelle Bachelet, the UN Human Rights High Commissioner, political prisoner, Arash Sadeqi, confined at Karaj Rajaee Shahr Prison, protests case-makings against political prisoners, their deprivation of medical care and their exile to a city other than their hometown.

Bipartisan House resolution backs push for a democratic Iran, condemns regime’s terror plots
A resolution co-signed by more than 100 House lawmakers from both parties, and supporting a democratic, secular Iran and condemning the regime’s terror plots, was introduced Thursday.
The move came a week after an Iranian diplomat was jailed for a bomb plot in Paris.
The resolution condemns past and present Iranian-sponsored terrorist attacks against U.S. citizens and Iranian dissidents and calls on the government to work with European allies to “hold Iran accountable for breaching diplomatic privileges” and to call on other countries to stop its “malign activities.”
Iran: Coronavirus Death Toll in 480 Cities Exceeds 214,300
The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced, Thursday, February 11, 2021, that Coronavirus death toll in 480 cities across Iran had exceeded 214,300. The number of victims in Tehran is 51,446, Isfahan 13,720, Khuzestan 10,735, Mazandaran 8,967, West Azerbaijan 7,923, Gilan 7,641, Fars 6,452, Alborz 5,433, Sistan and Baluchestan 5,116, Hamedan 5,068, Kerman 4,759, Yazd 3,937, Kurdistan 3,692, North Khorasan 3,308, Ilam 2,211, South Khorasan 2,051, and Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari 1,730.

Iranians Continue Protests; at Least Four Rallies and Strikes on February 10
On Wednesday, February 10, citizens in Iran held at least four rallies and protests in various cities. Residents of Lorestan province staged two gatherings, venting their anger at the regime in its entirety.

A protester is serving a 2-year prison sentence
Iran HRM reported that Amir Ehsan Ghazi, one of thousands of protesters arrested in the Iranian regime’s crackdown on November 2019 protests in Iran, is serving a 2-year prison sentence at the Greater Tehran Penitentiary for peacefully exercising his rights to freedom of expression and assembly.
A graduate student of philosophy is taken to Qarchak Prison
Somayyeh Kargar, a graduate student of philosophy from the University of Tabriz, has been taken to Qarchak Prison after about four months of interrogation in Ward 209 of Evin Prison.
