Iran: Coronavirus Death Toll in 465 Cities Exceeds 177,300
The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on Saturday, December 5, 2020, that the Coronavirus death toll in 465 cities had exceeded 177,300. The number of victims in Tehran is 43,791, Khorasan Razavi 12,415, Isfahan 10,230, Khuzestan 9,300, Lorestan 7,235, Mazandaran 6,717, West Azerbaijan 6,620, Gilan 5,871, Fars 5,167,, Hamedan 4,375, Kerman 3,639, Central Province 3,518, Yazd 3,132, Kurdistan 3,106, Semnan 2,589, Ardabil 2,092, Hormozgan 1,905, Ilam 1,860, and South Khorasan 1,616.

December 6th – Brave female students, enunciation of a free Iran, and non-discrimination
December 6 marks Student Day in Iran. It is the anniversary of the cold-blooded murder of three defenseless Tehran University students on December 6, 1953, by the Iranian police.
Freedom-loving students in Iran observe Student Day every year to commemorate the students who, throughout the years, have given their lives for Iran’s freedom, as well as the other students who face imprisonment, torture, or other kinds of oppression.

Iran’s 2021 budget bill sees 50% increase for religious organizations
With the coming of the Persian New Year in late March, the government of Hassan Rouhani recently presented Iran’s 2021 budget bill to the parliament. The bill, proposed to parliament on December 2 by Iran’s Vice-President, Hossein-Ali Amiri, has raised the budget for 21 religious institutions by 50%. This is while half the Iranian population lives in absolute poverty according to official figures.

Report: Inmates of Urmia Central Prison under pressure
Inmates confined at Urmia Central Prison are under unbearable and harsh conditions; the prison authorities stepping up the pressures even more on daily basis, including physical and psychological pressures.
An instance is, not delivering the vital medication for patients with special illnesses. An informed source said: “Two weeks has passed but the prison authorities have not yet distributed the vital medication for special patients. When the inmates protest, the authorities just give hollow promises.”
The source added: “Now these patients are having serious problems. The life of some of them is in danger.”
