The nationwide uprising marked its 89th day today, Tuesday. This morning, people began gathering in Mashhad to honor the life and death of Majidreza Rahnavard who was murdered by the regime’s Judiciary. Authorities dispatched security forces to the site, blocked roads, and even closed the door of a local mosque where people sought to hold their ceremony. Nevertheless, the people defied them and chanted, “For so many years of crimes, death to the clerical regime!”

People gathered to hold a ceremony for Rahnavard, confronted the regime’s security forces, and began chanting anti-government slogans. Elsewhere in the city, students at Az-Zahra University chanted: “They took our Majidreza and brought back his corpse!”

In the capital, Tehran, students of Sureh University boycotted their classes and continued the nationwide protests against the regime on the 89th day of the uprising.

Students in Tehran’s Islamic Azad University Science and Research Branch also held a gathering today condemning the regime’s criminal executions. Also, in the capital’s Sa’adat-Abad district, Ziba Shahr, and Tehranpars, protesters chanted, “Death to the dictator,” and “death to the child-killing regime.”

In Shiraz, south-central Iran, high school students staged a protest, chanting anti-regime slogans.

In the city of Shush in Khuzestan Province, southwest Iran, locals gathered to hold a ceremony for Abbas Mansouri, a protester who allegedly committed suicide after being released from prison where he was placed under severe torture.

In Tabriz, northwest Iran students of the Tabriz University of Medical Sciences protested the regime’s unjust death sentences and prison terms handed to recently arrested protesters.

Schoolgirls in the city of Kamyaran in the Kurdistan Province of western Iran took to the streets protesting and chanting: “Khamenei is a murderer! His rule is illegitimate!” High school students in Ahvaz were also holding similar protest rallies, chanting, “You are vile and lewd. I am a free-thinking woman.”

In Saqqez, Kurdistan province, the hometown of Mahsa Amini, protesters were in the streets again chanting “Death to the dictator!”

In Javanrud, western Iran, people gathered outside the governor’s office to demand the release of a local religious figure.


More Executions Reported in Iran

On Monday, December 12, the Iranian regime’s Judiciary executed 5 prisoners in Arak prison for drug-related charges. According to a human rights group, the identity of three of these prisoners, Mohammad Imani from Hamadan, Ehsan Naseri from Saveh, and Mostafa Kashi from Arak, have been confirmed.

Last Saturday, December 10, three prisoners were executed in Saravan Prison by the regime’s Judiciary. According to a local human rights organization, the prisoners were identified as Ehsan Bakhtiari, son of Ali, a resident of Dezak village, Mustafa (surname unknown), son of Jangi Khan, resident of Perkant village, and Moslem (surname unknown) nicknamed Sahuk from Saravan.

UK Sanctions Iranian Businessmen

LONDON, Dec 13 (Reuters) – Britain on Tuesday said it had sanctioned 12 Russian military commanders implicated in missile strikes on Ukrainian cities as well as Iranian businessmen involved in the production and supply of military drones used in the attacks.

On Monday, Ukraine said Russian missiles, artillery and drones had hammered targets in eastern and southern Ukraine.

Britain said Iranian-manufactured drones had played a central role in attacks on civilians, citing U.S. information showing Iran has become one of Russia’s top military backers, sending hundreds of drones to Russia.

EU Imposes New Iran Sanctions, No Deal Yet on New Russia Package

BRUSSELS, Dec 12 (Reuters) – European Union foreign ministers on Monday imposed new sanctions on Iran over its crackdown of anti-government protests and its drone deliveries to Russia, but pushed the adoption of a new package of measures against Moscow to later this week.

EU ministers decided in the case of Iran to add twenty individuals and one entity to the bloc’s sanctions list over human rights abuses, while four more people and as many entities were added in relation to drones.

Maryam Rajavi: Declaration of Protests and National Mourning Over Executions of Majidreza Rahnavard and Mohsen Shekari, Heroes of Iranian People Uprising

Ali Khamenei, the mullahs’ regime’s criminal leader, shed the blood of another brave Iranian youth this morning, Monday, December 12. The regime’s mercenaries publicly executed Majidreza Rahnavard, an uprising detainee, less than three weeks after his arrest in Mashhad. Even afraid of his lifeless body, they buried him secretly and even without the knowledge and presence of his family. Majidreza was severely tortured after his arrest and his arm was broken.

On the occasion of the martyrdom of Majidreza Rahnavard and the seventh day of the execution of Mohsen Shekari, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), declared protests and national mourning.

Letter of Women Political Prisoners in Evin: Stop Executions in Iran!

A group of women political prisoners in Evin expressed their protest by publishing a letter. They announced that on Monday, December 12, they would hold a sit-in in front of the sentry office in prison and chant slogans to condemn the death sentences issued and carried out by the clerical regime’s Judiciary. The Iranian Judiciary implemented the death sentences of two detained young protesters on December 8 and 12.

On Monday, December 12, 2022, the regime publicly hanged Majid Reza Rahnavard, 23, in Mashhad. Authorities sentenced him under Moharebeh [waging war against God] charges. They also forged a video to demonize this protester.

Instead, citizens and activists profoundly challenged the regime’s propaganda video. “You cannot see a face in CCTVs videos,” activists say. “Authorities have intentionally censured the demonstrations.”
