Iranian Official Admits Government Manipulated Stock Market
Mohammad Ali Dehghan Dehnavi, president of the Securities and Exchange Organization, recently admitted that the regime has supplied a large part of its budget deficit from profits made through the manipulation of the stock market. On April 16, Dehnavi said on the Clubhouse social media network, “The stock market has provided 6.8 trillion rials (approx. $28 billion) for the economy; the stock market has been the government’s source of income last year.”

Days, months, and years have passed, and the commotion of news of the disastrous situation in Iran is flying over this country followed by a long and unending tale. The coronavirus pandemic has joined this commotion besides the high prices, poverty, and unemployment. The state-run outlets and websites are trying to analyze this situation each of them in its own way, trying to give hopefully statistics to whitewash the hands of the officials from all the misery that they brought for the people. But the situation is not reversible and this downward spiral is not stopping its rotation.
Tehran Court Considers Sentencing 5 Men to Amputation for Robbery
The plaintiffs in the case of “serial robberies” from western Tehran homes, requested finger amputation for the five accused people, an Iranian state-run News Agency wrote. ROKNA said the five men were being tried by the 10th Branch of the Tehran Criminal Court. The “five-member group” was accused of robbing 22 homes.
Kurd Border Porter Fatally Falls From Cliff in Police Chase In Western Iran
A border porter or “kolbar” in the local dialect was killed on April 17 in Baneh, western Iran after falling off a cliff while being chased by security forces. According to the Hengaw Organization, a Kurd human rights group, the young man was identified as Hiva Ghaderi. Hiva died at the scene and locals transferred his body to a medical clinic.

Previously Iran’s state media have written about the “crisis of distrust” of the Iranian people toward the government, but now one of these outlets, the Ars Iran website, is speaking about a new phenomenon which it calls, “becoming senseless” and followed by “hopelessness.” Explaining this naming, this website wrote: “A person whose house is next to the railway line is shocked by the sound of the train passing early, in his/her days of housing, but after a while, he does not even realize when the train comes and goes.
Protests in Tehran, Mashhad, Sirjan, and Susangerd on Monday
Iran’s streets won’t rest. Following the nationwide protests on Sunday, reports from PMOI sources inside Iran suggest that at least four cities have been witnessing several rallies and gatherings against the state as of this morning.

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on Sunday, April 18, 2021, that the COVID-19 death toll in 539 cities across Iran had passed 256,500. The number of victims in Tehran has reached 58,641, Isfahan 16,745, Khorasan Razavi 16,385, Khuzestan 15,474, Mazandaran 10,845, Lorestan 10,813, East Azerbaijan 10,513, West Azerbaijan 9,653, Gilan 8,991, Fars 7,597, Golestan 6,575, Alborz 6,468, Sistan and Baluchestan 5,826, Kerman 5,754, Hamedan 5,763, Central Province 5,308, Kermanshah 5,134, Semnan 4,535, Kurdistan 4,462, Qazvin 2,939, Hormozgan 2,925, Zanjan 2,805, Ilam 2,646, and Bushehr 2,619.

Once again, retirees and pensioners of the Social Security Organization in Iran took to the streets and held protest rallies across Iran on Sunday. The protest rallies, which were coordinated and organized on social media, took place in front of the offices of the Social Security Organizations in more than a dozen cities, including Tehran, Karaj, Isfahan, Ahvaz, Behshahr, Kerman, Kermanshah, Dezful, Qazvin, Shush, Bandar Abbas, and Mashhad.

Who is Mohammad Hejazi?
Seyed Mohammad Hossein-Zadeh Hejazi was born in Isfahan. He is one of the leaders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). He has been a member of the Revolutionary Guards since the beginning of the Revolution in 1979. Mohammed Hejazi started suppressing opponents in the Iranian provinces of Kurdistan and West Azerbaijan after the Velayat-e Faqih (mullahs’ regime) came to power in Iran and sought to suppress its political opponents.
