The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on Saturday, April 17, 2021, that the Coronavirus fatalities in 539 cities across Iran had exceeded 255,300. The number of victims in Tehran has reached 58,371, Isfahan 16,675, Khorasan Razavi 16,335, Khuzestan 15,394, Mazandaran 10,810, Lorestan 10,773, East Azerbaijan 10,423, West Azerbaijan 9,608, Gilan 8,951, Qom 8,945, Fars 7,542, Golestan 6,550, Alborz 6,423, Kerman 5,719, Central Province 5,288, Kermanshah 5,104, Yazd 4,562, Kurdistan 4,432, North Khorasan 3,838, Ardabil 3,177, Khorasan South 2,501, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari 2,080, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad 1,994.

Iranians held at least 65 protests across Iran in the past week to express their economic grievances. Pensioners held two organized protests in cities across Iran on April 11 and 14 while stock market investors took to the streets four days this week.
84 Suicide Attempts Recorded in One Day in Capital Tehran
At least 84 people have attempted suicide in just one day in the Iranian capital, Tehran, according to the state-run Rokna news agency. From Thursday, April 15 to Friday, April 16, 84 suicide attempts have been registered in different parts of Tehran, of which 12 suicides resulted in death.

Fuel carrier dies from exposure in SE Iran buffer zone
A fuel carrier who was caught in the buffer zone between the southeastern border of Iran’s Sistan and Baluchestan and Pakistan died from lack of food and water yesterday. Hundreds of fuel carriers are currently held in the buffer zone, without proper access to food and water, as part of the IRGC implemented Razzagh Plan.
