Iran Uprising at a Glance

Based partially on reporting by PMOI (MEK) Network in Iran

Tuesday, April 11, 2023 – 8 PM GMT + 1

On the 208th day of Iran’s nationwide uprising, regime operatives across Iran continued and expanded their latest wave of chemical gas attacks targeting innocent schoolgirls. Dozens of students have been transferred to hospitals to receive urgent medical care for poisoning.

MEK-affiliated Resistance Units portrayed a large image of Iranian Resistance Leader Massoud Rajavi and opposition coalition NCRI President-elect Maryam Rajavi in the city of Rasht, northern Iran, near the Imam Reza Complex at 10:30 pm local time on Monday night.

The all-girls Khadijeh Kobra High School in the city of Oshnavieh, northwest Iran, was targeted in a chemical gas attack by regime operatives on Tuesday, according to the Hengaw Human Rights Organization. Several students suffered poisoning.

Other chemical gas attacks on Tuesday were reported from:

A chemical gas attack targeting the all-girls “Danesh Pezhuhan” School in Kermanshah, western Iran, has left at least 60 students poisoned, according to the Hengaw Human Rights Organization. They were transferred to nearby medical centers and two of the poisoned students are reported to be in critical condition.

In the city of Kamyaran of Kurdistan Province, students reported that they had smelled something like rotten eggs at a school targeted in today’s organized chemical gas attacks. Several students have been hospitalized in this city.

Regime operatives launched yet another chemical gas attack in Shahin Shahr, this time targeting Manouchehr Ansari, Al-Yasin, and Tolu High School. Officials had the gates closed for an hour or so following the chemical gas attack, according to students at the scene. No ambulance came to the school to provide help and the regime’s Red Crescent officials did nothing. The students say only the teachers were helping the students to flee the scene and afterward officials were keeping a number of the senior teachers inside the school.

Iranian opposition coalition NCRI President-elect Maryam Rajavi condemned the regime’s “cruelty and demagoguery” adding, “The regime’s depravity in continuing this horrific crime is especially appalling given the holy month of Ramadan… Khamenei, the mullahs’ bloodthirsty supreme leader, has crossed a new threshold of cruelty and demagoguery in his desperate attempt to stifle dissent and prevent Iran protests. However, his efforts will be in vain, for Iranian women, girls, and youth have vowed to rise up against this brutal regime and overthrow it.”

130 US House Representatives Urge EU to Designate IRGC

In a letter to Josep Borrell, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, 130 members of the US House of Representatives, requested to proscribe the Revolutionary Guards on the EU terrorist.

In this letter, which is also signed by the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee and a number of senior members of Congress, the representatives request the implementation of the resolutions of the European Parliament on January 18 and 19, 2023 regarding the designation of the Iranian regime’s Revolutionary Guards, which has not yet been implemented.

The letter also notes that the IRGC has been freely and openly plotting to target citizens of countries across the European Union for decades. It also mentions a recent study by the Counter-Terrorism Center at the West Point Institute that shows the Iranian regime has organized at least 33 plots to surveil, abduct or assassinate citizens in Europe in the last five years.

Iran’s Tyrannical Mullahs Using Ramadan To Try To Crush Nationwide Uprising in Their Latest Corruption of Islam – Struan Stevenson

With the international condemnation of their brutal crackdown on protesters during the nationwide uprising that has now continued for seven months, it might have been imagined that Iran’s mullahs would have learned some lessons in moderation.

But, deaf to all remonstrations over a shoot-to-kill strategy that has caused the deaths of more than 750 protesters, the theocratic regime has continued on its repressive path. Now, during the holy month of Ramadan, the police are demanding even greater powers to crush dissent.

Hassan Karami, the commander of the regime’s Law Enforcement Forces’ special units, has called for the number of security police to be doubled to confront the ongoing nationwide insurrection. Karami was sanctioned by the European Union in April 2021 for his role in the savage response to mass protests that took place in November 2019, when more than 1,500 mostly young protesters were killed. He has coordinated the use of lethal force for crowd control and the suppression of protests during the current uprising.

Protests in Iran Escalate Following New Wave of Gas Attacks Targeting Schools

Iran’s nationwide uprising is witnessing its 207th day on Monday following more chemical gas attacks targeting at least six all-girls schools in Saqqez and another in Sanandaj, both located in Kurdistan Province. People in Saqqez responded with protests against the mullahs’ regime and locals in the city of Mahabad in northwest Iran took to the streets on Sunday night to voice their anger at the ruling dictatorship. People throughout Iran continue to specifically hold the mullahs’ Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei responsible for their miseries, while also condemning the oppressive Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) and paramilitary Basij units, alongside other security units that are on the ground suppressing the peaceful demonstrators.

The Poisoning of Iranian Schoolgirls: A Brutal Act by a Desperate Regime in 2023

When it comes to the brutality of the regime of mullahs in Iran, one thing is as clear as the blue sky; the religious dictatorship in Iran does not shy away from committing any possible crime to continue its grasp of power a bit longer. The poisoning of the school girls in Iran is one of the most recent crimes of this regime against the youths of Iran. Poisonous attacks on Iranian schools started in the city of Qom about five months ago and spread to other cities. These attacks initially targeted girls’ high schools, but a number of boys’ high schools, girls’ and boys’ elementary schools, student dormitories, and universities were also targeted by these attacks.
