Iran’s nationwide uprising marked its 149th day on Saturday as people across the country continued their anti-regime protests with nightly campaigns of chanting slogans against the mullahs’ dictatorship. Protesters in Tehran and different cities shouted anti-regime slogans against the entire regime apparatus, from Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, and the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), to the paramilitary Basij units.

Last night the MEK-affiliated Resistance Units carried out 44 anti-regime actions to mark the 44th anniversary of the 1979 anti-monarchic revolution.

In the capital, Tehran, Iran protesters torched a pro-regime propaganda banner.

In Eslamshahr, Tehran Province, protesters set on fire pro-regime propaganda banners and posters.

In Karaj, west of Tehran, a brave woman torched a pro-regime hanging.

Germany Sees Increase in Iranian Spying Since Protests – Welt Am Sonntag

BERLIN, Feb 11 (Reuters) – The German government has acknowledged an increase in spying by Iranian intelligence agents on exiled Iranians living in Germany since the start of mass protests last year, Welt am Sonntag newspaper reported on Saturday.

Nationwide unrest triggered by the death of a young woman detained by Iranian morality police last year has led to “increasing indications of possible spying on opposition events and individuals” in Germany, the federal government said in response to an information request from the far-left Linke Party.

“Opposition groups and individuals (…) are considered by the rulers in Iran as a threat to the continued existence of the regime,” the government said in its response.

1979 Revolution: Iranian Women Take a Stride Forward

The anniversary of the 1979 Revolution which toppled the Shah’s monarchic regime in Iran, is a reminder of Iranian women’s extensive role and impact in that era which is considered a leap forward in the history of the struggles of Iranian women. The widespread participation of Iranian women in recent uprisings is reminiscent of their role during the 1979 revolution against the monarchic dictatorship in Iran. The current uprising and the leading role of women in it, is a continuation of their participation in the 1979 Revolution and in fact prior to that.

Iranian and Western historians who have studied the social and political developments in Iran during the past 150 years attest that patriarchal historians have often overlooked Iranian women’s heroism, registering and documenting very little.

Iran – Shah and Mullahs Agree on One Thing: No Freedom!

In recent times, as Iran is rocked by protests and many citizens risk their lives to free the country from a medieval regime and secure a bright future for future generations, a strange phrase has emerged on social media that was previously not present in Iran’s political culture. This phrase is “the sedition of 1979,” referring to the people’s revolution in 1979 that brought an end to the monarchical dictatorship in Iran. It is being used by the remnants of that Pahlavi who fled the country after the revolution.

The strange aspect of this term is its coincidence with the term used by the current mullah-led regime in Iran to describe the people’s uprising in 2009 following a fraudulent election. After brutally suppressing the people, they labeled the protests “the sedition of 2009.”
