Iran: Government-Affiliated Economist Admits to People’s Deproable Economic Situation

In an interview with the state-run Eghtesad Pouya daily on Tuesday, Vahid Shaghaghi-Shahri, an Iranian economist, acknowledged the deplorable situation of Iranian families.

“The majority of the society is struggling with poverty due to their low incomes. The middle class is gradually disappearing and we have a very rich minority and a poor majority in the country,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Iranian regime continues wasting national resources on terrorism and nuclear program.

Round-up of Iran protests on December 7

Reports tallied by the Iranian opposition, People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), indicate there have been several protests across Iran on Tuesday, December 7, 2021.

Storeowners of the Eslamshahr district of Tabriz, northwest Iran,  held a rally on Tuesday, municipal officials’ refusal to finalize a canal project in their area.

On Tuesday, the municipality workers Kut Abdullah district in Ahvaz, southwest Iran, continued their strike. They protested not fully receiving their paychecks for the past six months.

On Tuesday, Locals in Churs, northwest, northwest Iran blocked a road to prevent miners from transferring equipment to a mine citing environmental reasons. Churs Municipality members all resigned for the same reason, according to reports.

On December 07, 2021, several landowners in the Golshahr district of Urmia rallied and demanded clarification by officials regarding their property after being left in limbo for the past 30 years.

Iran: 100 MEPs Call On EU To Recognize the 1988 Massacre in Iran as Genocide and a Crime Against Humanity

On December 7, 2021, Friends of a Free Iran (FoFI) in the European Parliament released a statement announcing that “On the eve of World Human Rights Day 100 MEPs, including 14 former ministers, including foreign ministers, call on EU and member states to recognize the 1988 massacre in Iran as genocide and a crime against humanity and adopt a firm policy in the nuclear negotiations.”

MEK Supporters Hold Rallies in Different Cities in Solidarity with Risen People in Isfahan

Freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the Iranian opposition People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) held several rallies in support of recent protests in Isfahan, central Iran, over severe water shortages. They also called for the prosecution of the Iranian regime’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and his president Ebrahim Raisi for their role in crimes against humanity.

Iran: COVID-19 Fatalities Has Reached 485,600

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on Monday, December 6, 2021, that the COVID-19 death toll in 547 cities has exceeded 485,600. In Tehran death toll has reached 113,725, Isfahan 33,340, Khuzestan 29,450, West Azerbaijan 18,283, Fars 18,160, Mazandaran 17,700, East Azerbaijan 16,743, Kerman 13,030, Golestan 10,590, Hormozgan 8,055, Ardabil 6,120, Ilam 4,638, and Zanjan 4,605.
