Iran’s nationwide uprising is marking its 98th day on Thursday following a day of various protest rallies, gatherings, nightly marches, and strikes. Protesters have continued to voice their opposition to the mullahs’ regime through various slogans, including “Death to Khamenei!” and “Death to the dictator!” referring directly to regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

In Kamyaran, western Iran, locals marked the 40th day of Foad Mohammadi’s murder by the regime’s oppressive security forces. they chanted: “We swear on our compatriots’ blood that we will stand to the end!” and “This is the last message: one more execution and there will be more uprisings!”

In Qazvin, west of Tehran, the mother, and relatives of Sepehr Esmaili, a 22-year-old engineer killed by authorities on November 13, attend their loved one’s grave.

In Rasht, northern Iran, locals torched a billboard with images of regime founder Ruhollah Khomeini and mullahs’ Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

In Semirom, central Iran, locals continued the nationwide protests and chanted “Death to Khamenei!”

In Sistan and Baluchestan province, southeast Iran, children chanted against the regime’s supreme leader, “Death to Khamenei”

In another development abroad, on Wednesday more than 230 current and former UN officials, judges, human rights experts, Nobel laureates, and NGOs in an open letter calling on world leaders to step up pressure on Iran to halt the execution of anti-government protesters, including by imposing sanctions on its officials for human rights abuses, expelling Iranian ambassadors and blacklisting the IRGC. The signatories pointed out that what compounds their concern is the Iranian authorities’ decades-long record of mass executions, most notably the fact that “as many as 30,000 political prisoners, mostly MEK members, were extra-legally executed or forcibly disappeared during the 1988 massacre.”
