No Health Protocols for Soldiers
While government officials in the regime’s military have claimed that army garrisons have been Covid-free, the state-run ISNA news agency reported that 30 soldiers had contracted the virus and one had died in just one of the army’s camps.
During the conversation with the soldiers, the news agency learned that the soldiers have not been vaccinated yet and there has been no specific date announced for vaccination either.
Soldiers told: “We work the military and we have no right to inquire about these issues. We are not allowed to ask questions. It is how it is… In the military, the only health protocol is the use of a mask. Earlier, the soldiers were given three masks a month. The dining halls are also closed indoor environments without ventilation.”

The Regime’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Admits Vienna Talks Faced Deadlock
Speaking at his weekly press conference on Monday, Saeed Khatibzadeh, the Iranian regime’s spokesperson of the foreign ministry answered a question raised by reporters over the prospects of the stalled Vienna talks. He said: “The Vienna talks are not aimed at reaching a new agreement, rather ensuring that the United States gets into compliance with the JCPOA”.
These talks are technical discussions and are not going to lead to a new text, Khatibzadeh noted, adding that from now on, these negotiations will proceed by a governing consensus and decisions will soon be made to determine whether the negotiations will be conducted by the Foreign Ministry or any other governing body.

Iran: Coronavirus Death Toll Exceeds 392,900
The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on Sunday, August 29, 2021, that the Coronavirus death toll in 547 cities across Iran had exceeded 392,900. The number of victims in Tehran has reached 92,296, Khorasan Razavi 28,735, Isfahan 25,920, Khuzestan 24,166, Mazandaran 15,250, East Azerbaijan 14,168, Fars 13,962, West Azerbaijan 13,778, Lorestan 13,750, Gilan 13,465, Alborz 11,443, Kerman 10,188, Golestan 9,375, Kermanshah 6,903, Kurdistan 6,182, Hormozgan 6,815, Yazd 6,777, North Khorasan 5,164, Ardabil 4,895, Bushehr 4,504, Zanjan 3,950, Ilam 3,883, South Khorasan 3,581, and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad 2,919.

MEK Supporters Inside Iran Share Their Stories From the 1988 Massacre
In an online conference on Friday, August 28, the international experts and jurists called Iran’s 1988 massacre a genocide. The conference was attended by 1,000 former political prisoners from both dictatorships of the Shah and the mullahs. Many of them shared their shocking experience, in particular to what happens in the summer of 1988 where more than 30,000 political prisoners were executed. The vast majority of the victims were members and sympathizers of the Iranian opposition group the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK).

In the summer of 1988, over 30,000 political prisoners were summarily executed throughout Iran, based on a Fatwa (religious decree) issued by Khomeini. The Fatwa reads, “it is decreed that those who are in prisons throughout the country and remain steadfast in their support for the Monafeqin [Mojahedin MEK/PMOI], are waging war on God and are condemned to execution.” Adding, “Those who are making the decisions must not hesitate, nor show any doubt or be concerned with details. New IAEA Plan To Monitor the Iranian Government’s Nuclear Program
International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors, who have been barred from accessing Iran’s nuclear sites for several months, are looking for an alternative plan to monitor the Iranian government’s nuclear program, given the expansion of the Iranian government’s nuclear program in recent months. The Iranian government and the IAEA signed two agreements in March 2021 after the Iranian parliament approved the accession and voluntary implementation of the Additional Protocol if sanctions were not lifted, following the IAEA inspectors’ access to Iran’s nuclear sites. They signed a one and three-month agreement under which IAEA inspectors could gain some access to the Iranian government’s nuclear sites.
Three Teenage Girls Detained by IRGC, One Attempts Suicide After Release
Three teenage girls were detained by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on August 24 in Javanrud, western Iran. According to the Hengaw Organization website, the three girls were identified as 16-year-old Tara Ahmadi, 14-year-old Sonya Karimi, and 14-year-old Parya Fathi. They were detained for unknown and illegal reasons and released after one day. An informed source said Tara attempted suicide the day of her release. She hanged herself at home and was transferred to the hospital. Tara is currently in critical condition.
Two Iranian Bahais Sentenced to Prison in Tehran
Two Iranian Bahais were sentenced to a total of two years of prison by Tehran’s Appeals Court. According to the Human Rights News Agency, the two Bahais were identified as Abbas Taef and Attoallah Zafar. They were each sentenced to one year of prison by Tehran’s Revolutionary Court for “acting against national security by promoting the Bahai faith”. The Provincial Appeals court confirmed their sentence on July 6.
