The Iranian regime began increasing the number of women executed and female political prisoners exiled in the run-up to the Iranian New Year (Nowruz) on March 20.

Since the start of 2021, the regime has executed five women, including Zahra Esma’ili, an innocent woman who took the blame for her teenage daughter who’d killed her abusive father, who was hanged after having a heart attack because she’d seen 16 other people executed in front of her. Another one of those executed was domestic violence victim Maryam Karimi.

Iran – Coronavirus Death Toll in 535 Cities Exceeds 244,000

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on Monday, April 5, 2021, that the Coronavirus death toll in 535 cities across Iran had exceeded 244,000. The number of victims in Tehran has reached 56,191, Isfahan 15,905, Khorasan Razavi 15,745, Khuzestan 14,444, Mazandaran 10,410, East Azerbaijan 9,773, in West Azerbaijan 9,148, Gilan 8,551, Golestan 6,295, Alborz 6,058, Kerman 5,394, Central Province 5,073, Semnan 4,260, North Khorasan 3, 678, Ardabil 3,022, Zanjan 2,645, Bushehr 2,464, South Khorasan 2,371, and Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari 1,960.

On Monday, a group of stockholders who lost their fortunes because of systemic manipulation and ‘pump and dump’ of the Tehran stock market rallied in front of the parliament. They chanted: “the stock exchange betrays, and the government supports it” as well as “Deprived of justice, we won’t vote!”

Also, municipality counselors in Tehran gathered in front of the Ministry of Labor and dissented their dismissal of work. The demonstrators spoke of 2300 accounts of safety, environmental and sanitation counselors that have lost their jobs in the last 18 months.
Near Karun, southwest of the country, municipal employees gathered in front of the governor’s building in Ahvaz. Some were dismissed without any reasonable justifications and some were deprived of their wages.

Farmers from Masjid Haidar and Dorche in Isfahan rallied in two separate protests to express their anger and frustration over the mismanagement of water and sewage that have blown their crops and put their lives on the line.

Laborers of the sugarcane factory of ‘Haft Tappeh’ continued their strike for the ninth day successively. They demanded an extension of their employment contracts to end suffering from job insecurity.

Workers of the ‘Gatchsaran’ oil and gas company gathered in front of the CEO’s office and asked for their complaints to be heard and their rights to be fulfilled.

Villagers of Narjouye, a suburb in the Jiroft County, southeast Iran, rallied in front of the governor’s office and protested negligence of their power grid.
