• UN Experts Urge Iran to Halt ‘Arbitrary’ Execution of Juvenile Offender

Two UN rights experts have called on Iranian authorities to halt the planned execution of a man convicted of killing his teacher at the age of 15.

In a June 19 statement, the experts cited reports suggesting that Mohammad Kalhori will be executed shortly after the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, which ended last week.

“Iran has committed itself to prohibiting the use of the death penalty for all those under 18 by its ratification of both the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the Convention on the Rights of the Child,” said Agnes Callamard, the UN special rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary, or arbitrary executions, and Renate Winter, who heads the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child.

• Saudi-Led Coalition Displays Yemeni Arms From Iran

Officials in a Saudi-led coalition now battling Shiite rebels for control of a crucial port in Yemen on Tuesday displayed weapons captured on the battlefield that they say show Iran is arming the insurgents.

Iran long has denied arming the rebels, known as Houthis, despite reports by the United Nations, Western countries and outside groups linking it to the rebels’ arsenal.

Weapons shown to reporters in Abu Dhabi and later at an Emirati military base on a government-sponsored tour included drones, a sniper rifle, roadside bombs disguised as rocks and even a “drone boat,” which had been filled with explosives that failed to detonate.

• Protest Gathering of Looted Clients of Financial Credit Institutions in Tehran

On Tuesday, June 19, 2018, looted clients of the Alborz Development and Caspian Credit Institutions gathered in Tehran to protest the plundering of their money and property.

A group of plundered and looted investors of the Alborz Development Institution gathered in front of the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad in Tehran and chanted slogans demanding the credit institute to return their deposited assets.

• Protest of Owners of Mehr Housing in Azerbaijan, Iran Against Paying Extra Money Housings

On Tuesday, June 19, 2018, a group of residential property owners of Mehr Housing in Azerbaijan province of Iran, organized a protest rally against the attempts of the Iranian government authorities to receive extra money for housing units and retaining their housing units documents in front of the Governorate in Osku.

• Over 40 women, girls harassed by the Iranian regime in southeast Iran

Iran, June 19, 2018 – Atmosphere in the city of Iranshahr, southeast Iran, has been very tense in the past few days as reports of a mass rape case involving 41 women and girls by a gang enjoying support from Iranian regime authorities are spreading fast, resulting in growing anger.

The victims are unveiling new details of the regime’s military and security forces’ involvement in this crime. A number of these women and girls are saying they were abducted by “armed individuals wearing police and military uniforms.”
