US House Foreign Affairs Chief says we can’t let Rouhani ‘play us’

Congressman Ed Royce, the Chairman of House Foreign Affairs Committee said in an Interview on Tuesday that the U.S. needs a diplomatic path “in which Iran agrees to give up its nuclear program, give up its enrichment, give up its weapons-making capability.”

Congressman Rocye believes the final word on foreign policy of the Iranian regime and also the nuclear issue stays with the regime’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Royce suggests giving Hassan Rouhani a set deadline.

“We’ll give you 100 days from the day you came into office. Give up your weapons program, stop enrichment, turn the enriched uranium back, and we’ll lift the sanctions,” said Royce.

“We can’t let him play us the way he played the Europeans in the negotiations,” said Royce.

the California congressman said the congress should increase ‘sanctions on the regime in order to try to force them to give up those weapons.”
