US and EU warn regime about “stall tactics”

NCRI – The United States and the European Union have spoken out against the Iranian regime’s strategy of wasting time on its nuclear program, while signaling the need to impose more sanctions and pressures on the regime.

According to the US State Department, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton met EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton in Washington and attended a joint news conference with her on Tuesday.

Mrs. Clinton said, “The burden remains on Iran to demonstrate it is prepared to end its stalling tactics, drop its unacceptable preconditions and start addressing the international community’s concerns.”

Pointing to a letter sent by the regime’s Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council on May 10, Ms. Ashton said it took three months for the regime to respond.

“I had wished for a stronger and better letter from them,” she said, adding, “From the letter that I’ve received, I don’t see that at the present time.”
