NCRI – British lawmakers will on Tuesday hold a meeting in the House of Commons to discuss major concerns regarding Iran and the basis of a firm UK policy towards that country.

“Iran, one of the most important countries in the Middle East, stands at a historical juncture following the recent nuclear deal with the world powers. Many pundits describe this nuclear deal as a new shift in the region’s geopolitics with consequences not only for the region but also the entire world,” the British Parliamentary Committee for Iran Freedom said in its announcement of the upcoming event.

“Failure to formulate an appropriate and firm policy towards Iran will significantly diminish the UK’s ability to address the major concerns and future threats from Iran’s theocratic regime.”

“With more than 20 years of experience and expertise in affairs concerning Iran and the Middle East, the British Parliamentary Committee for Iran Freedom is the leader in the area of analysis of Iranian affairs. Founded by the late Lord Corbett of Castle Vale, the Committee enjoys widespread cross-party support, both in the House of Commons and in the House of Lords,” the lawmakers said.
