NCRI – Following last week’s warning by a U.S. Treasury official that Turkish banks which persisted in dealing with Bank Mellat were risking U.S. sanctions, Turkish banks announced that they are cutting all their links with Bank Mellat because of the U.S. sanctions against Iranian regime, Reuters reported on May 19.
The head of Iranian regime’s branch of Bank Mellat in Turkey told Reuters that this is due to U.S. actions.
