•Iran launches mass production of home-made missile against U.S. containment

July 23 – Iran’s Defense Ministry on Monday launched the mass production of an indigenous air-to-air missile, official IRNA news agency reported.

The mass production of missile Fakour, which can be mounted on all types of fighter jets, was inaugurated by Iran’s Defense Minister Amir Hatami.

•Trump Security Adviser Echoes Warning To Iran

President Donald Trump’s national security adviser is echoing the combative warning to Iran against deploying any more threatening language toward the U.S.

Ambassador John Bolton says he has spoken with Trump over the last several days and, “President Trump told me that if Iran does anything at all to the negative, they will pay a price like few countries have ever paid before.”

•New round of truck drivers’ nationwide strike

July 23, 2018 – Based on pre-arrangements and prior coordination, truck drivers in many cities across Iran launched a second round of strikes starting on Monday.

Truckers were on strike in the cities of Tehran, Bandar Abbas, Sirjan, Kazerun, Port Shapur, Isfahan, Shahr-e Kord, Sanandaj, Qazin, Port Khomeini, Pol-e Dokhtar, Tabriz, Rafsanjan, Kermanshah, Shahroud, Toroq, Kashmar and Firuzkooh, protesting their unsolved calamities and officials refusing to live up to their pledges.

In Khuzestan, drivers were seen stopping any trucks carrying loads and allowing them to deliver their goods.

•Bahrain backs US President’s stance against Iran

MANAMA: Bahrain yesterday welcomed the strong stance adopted by US President Donald Trump against Iran.

The Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, backed the firm US strategy.
The Cabinet reiterated Bahrain’s full support for the strategy, which will reduce terrorist threats and enhance regional security.

US President Donald Trump earlier in the day told Iran it risked dire consequences “the like of which few throughout history have suffered before” if the Islamic Republic made more threats against the US.

 • Detained Teacher on Trial for Peacefully Advocating Teachers’ Rights in Iran

Detained teachers’ rights activist Mohammad Habibi went trial on July 23 at Branch 26 of the Revolutionary Court in Tehran for the charges of “assembly and collusion against national security,” “propaganda against the state” and “disturbing public order,” the charges brought by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

Since May 10 in Tehran, when Mohammad Habibi was attacked by the state security forces and arrested during a teacher’s gathering, Mohammad Habibi has been held at the Great Tehran Penitentiary and refused, by judiciary officials, to be released on bail. He was being denied his monthly state salary while under temporary detention and despite not being convicted of any crime.
