Three million Iraqi Shiites call for the expulsion of Iran regime’s ambassador – Kuwaiti Daily

Three million Iraqi Shiites call for the expulsion of Iran regime's ambassador NCRI – Arabic language Kuwaiti newspaper, Al-Seyassah, reported on Saturday that "three million Iraqis called for the expulsion of Iran’s ambassador from Baghdad and the closure of all Iranian consulates throughout Iraq for being used for terrorist operations."

"In the declaration read by Sheikh Walid Jassim, one of the sheikhs of Al Qadisiyah province, the participants asked for the removal of restrictions from the Ashraf residents and return of all the properties of the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) according to The Hague Conventions," Al-Seyassah added.

Various Arab and international media have in recent days reported the event.

The declaration, which also called for the lifting of a measure curtailing the activity of the PMOI (MEK) in Ashraf City in eastern Iraq, was announced at the fourth conference for the Solidarity Congress of the Iraqi People" held in Ashraf City, Iraq, United Press International (UPI) reported.

According to UPI, the declaration demanded the "expulsion of all members and agents of the Iranian regime's IRGC, Intelligence, and the terrorist Qods Force from all governmental or non-governmental institutions of Iraq, especially the security systems and the police,"

The event that was attended by Dr. Saleh Mutlaq, leader of the Arabic Front for Iraqi National Dialogue, some members of the Iraqi National Accord Movement, representatives from Conference of Ahal al-Iraq, Islamic Party of Iraq, Iraqi Council for National Dialogue, Iraqi Turkmen Party of Justice, Islamic Unity Party, as well as parliamentarians, tribal sheikhs and political, social and religious personalities.

Mr. Paulo Casaca, Member of the European Parliament and the Co-Chair of the Friends of a Free Iran, also attended the event as a special guest.
