Maliki and his militias are the ‘real terrorists’ in Iraq

Sabah Al-MukhtarIraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and his ‘criminal’ militia are the real terrorists in Iraq, and his claims that he is fighting terrorism are false, Sabah Al-Mukhtar, chairman of London based Arab Lawyers Association, has told a conference in Paris.

Mr Al-Mukhtar also criticized the ‘immoral stance’ of the international community for failing to provide the Iranian dissidents members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) in Camp Ashraf safe passage to other countries, denied them their rights under the Geneva Convention and forcing them to leave Camp Ashraf for the prison that is Camp Liberty.

He said: “Now the Ashrafies are at immediate and imminent danger because the location of ‘Liberty Prison’ is in the contact point and line of fire between the Iraqi patriot liberation forces and Maliki’s forces and militias.

“I agree with what my respected sister Maryam Rajavi said and wish to confirm that the claims that Maliki is a democrat who was duly elected and is fighting terrorism are false. Election does not equal democracy, especially if forged. His 40 criminal and sectarian militias are the real terrorist in Iraq.”

He added: “Those who portray the revolt of the people of Iraq, that has liberated more than half of Iraq, as being (ISIS) or the Islamic State (IS) are in fact participating in the slaughter of the Iraqis.

“The revolution started when after one full year of peaceful demonstration civilians were faced by tanks, cannons and air bombardment. This use of the force against peaceful demonstrators resulted in massacres like Hawija, Diyala, Mousel and others.

“It is certainly correct to say that there are militant, vengeful, and merciless criminals such as Qaida, Daesh and the new so called Islamic State.

“Those terrorist organisation are in fact anti-islam, they are at best misguided otherwise simply criminals. No human Muslim or otherwise could literally slaughter another or ethnically cleanse the Iraqi Christians from town and villages and yet claim to be a Muslim.

“Please do not follow Maliki’s propaganda by accusing the revolution of being ISIS/Daaish or exaggerating the numbers of ISIS or their role. It takes one terrorist to grab the lime light.”

He also insisted the mosques and marqads of the imams in Karbala, Najaf and Kadumain are ‘Iraqi treasures’, adding: “We the Iraqis have protected them for the last fourteen centuries. We do not need the mullahs of Tehran to come now to protect these shrines.”
