Khamenei’s rule can not be questioned, Iranian MP declares

NCRI – The complete power wielded by Iranian regime’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei can not be kept in check by the regime’s Assembly of experts, a member of regime’s parliament Mohsen Heydari has said.

Heydari told the Jahannews website that the belief that the Assembly oversees the conduct of the leader is ‘wrong’.

He said on Thursday: “There is nothing in the law and constitution that indicates that the Assembly of Experts has supervision over the leadership.

“This Assembly only watches to see if the leader is still has the attributes necessary for the leadership or has lost those attributes.

“If the Assembly believed that one of those attributes for the leadership no longer existed, then the Assembly would declare the dismissal of the leader.”

The Assembly of Experts is composed of 86 mullahs – many of whom are also representatives of Khamenei in other state institutions.

The Assembly has never been known to challenge or otherwise publicly oversee any of the Supreme Leader’s decisions.
