Khamenei orders are being ignored, Iranian regime MP says

NCRI – The orders and authority of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei are being ignored and undermined, a member of Iranian regime’s parliament says.

Mohammad Hassan Asefri, a member of the parliament’s National Security Commission, said on Monday, March 25: “In the past years, the orders of the Supreme Leader went as far as printing banners and holding gatherings, but unfortunately no efforts were made to obey his guidelines.”

Asefri also demanded that parliament use Khamenei’s edicts as their basis for new laws.

He added: “The parliament must consider the Supreme Leader’s orders when issuing laws. The Executive Branch must also take his orders into account when formulating its programs and other work.”

For the past 19 years, Khamenei has given each New Year a slogan. Last year was designated as the year of ‘national production, supporting Iranian production and investment’.

But also last year, thousands of production units were closed down and Iranian economy was plunged into crisis with inflation of over 50% and an unemployment rate that has soared to 30%.
