NCRI – The American ambassador in Iraq has suggested that not all of Baghdad’s trade relations with the Iranian regime are legal, according to al-Soumariya TV on Monday.
During a visit to Kirkuk, James Jeffrey was quoted as saying that the Iranian regime is under international sanctions, which cast a shadow on Iraq’s trade ties with the regime as well.
“There are restrictions on imports and exports to Iran, just as there are limitations on financial dealings with it. We are confident that Iraq understands these restrictions,” Mr. Jeffrey was quoted as saying.
According to al-Soumariya, the American ambassador also praised Iraq for signing agreements with other regional countries.
