Iraqi TV: Campaign demanding prosecution of Maliki launched

Activists have launched a campaign in social networking sites to demand the prosecution of the Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki by the International Criminal Court, Iraqi TV al-Tagheer reported.

The campaign asks the public to support the demand for the trial of al-Maliki internationally on charges of “genocide” by signing a petition.

Many international human rights organizations have repeatedly condemned the conduct of the Maliki government in physical liquidation of hundreds of Sunni citizens, particularly the detainees many of whom were killed in suspicious accidents, the report said.
