Iraqi citizens call on UN to sack Martin Kobler

NCRI – Iraqi demonstrators accused Martin Kobler, special representative of the UN Secretary General, of “covering up violations of Maliki government” and demanded his removal.

The spokesperson for demonstrators said that Kobler’s report to the UN is first read by Qasem Soleimani, commander of Iranian regime’s Quds force, and his report is for satisfaction of the Iranian regime and the Iraqi government.

Iraqi al-Tagheer TV reported on Monday March 18 that an official spokesperson of demonstrators in the province of Salah-ad-Din said the demonstrators called on the Secretary General of the UN to remove Martin Kobler because “he has sold his conscience and became a supporter of the government”.

Najeh al-Mizan, spokesman for demonstrators in the city of Samarra in Salah-ad-Din province said: “the demonstrators are waiting for Martin Kobler’s report to the UN on the situation of Iraq. They believe that his report contains information that is not consistent with reality.”

Najeh al-Mizan said: “it is anticipated that Kobler will say in his report that there is no cases of human right violation and the government is doing its mandate and has answered all the demands and only a small amount is remained”.

“This is what’s expected from Kobler. His complicity with the Iranian government is well known. Kobler does not mention intervention by the Iranian regime at all. Camp Liberty was attacked by rockets, 8 people were killed and 100 others injured. This is clear military intervention in Iraqi affairs.”

Al-Mizan added: “Kobler’s report is first read by Qasem Soleimani and then Ban Ki-Moon reads the report. We now are collecting signatures … Kobler’s report will be for satisfaction of Iran and Iraqi Governmennt… this man is on the side of the government and supports Iranian project.”
