Iranian regime summons Saudi Arabia’s Charge d’affaires

NCRI – The Charge d’affaires of Saudi Arabia’s embassy in Tehran was summoned by the Iranian regime’s Foreign Ministry to protest Saudi official’s remarks on a spy network arrested in Saudi Arabia with links to the Iranian regime.

Saudi Arabia announced last week the arrest of 18 people over the suspicion of spying for another country, Saudi Press Agency reported.

A Saudi interior ministry spokesman said Tuesday in a statement that initial investigations showed that the spy cell had direct links to the Iranian intelligence agencies.

In the absence of Saudi ambassador the Iranian regime summoned the Charge d’affaires to protest the remarks.
