Iranian cleric detained in Saudi Arabia

NCRI – The Saudi police is holding an Iranian cleric in city of Medina for making provoking remarks. It is more than two weeks that he is not allowed to leave Saudi Arabia.

Cleric Ali A’arefi is a Friday Prayer Leader in the Iranian city of Jiroft, in southern province of Kerman.

Despite efforts by the Iranian regime officials in that country the Saudi authorities have refused to allow him to leave Saudi Arabia.

 The state-run media reporting on his arrest said he was arrested in a cemetery in Medina where he made an ‘important speech’ and has he made remarks on ‘realities’.

Medina, in western Saudi Arabia, is the burial place of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad, and is the second holiest city in Islam after Mecca.
