Iranian arms found in south of Baghdad

Baghdad (Reuters) – Iraqi police and soldiers display assorted arms and munitions, some of which are believed to be Iranian-made, recovered in Diwaniya, 110 miles south of Baghdad, November 19,

The U.S. military said on Wednesday Iran must prove over time it is committed to stemming the flow of weapons into Iraq, adding a note of caution after a warming in Washington’s tone towards Tehran.

Iranian-made weapons were among a large cache of arms and ammunition found during operations in a Shi’ite militia stronghold south of Baghdad, the Iraqi army said on Monday.
