Iran: Mullahs’ Higher Education Minister warns university professors of purge

NCRI – The Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Iranian regime warned university professors who oppose the regime to either "return" to the regime or else “people” (paid mobs) will decide on their fate.

Kamran Daneshjoo speaking to a number of university chancellors said "We are only in need of professors that are submissive to velayat-e faqih (mullahs’ Supreme Leader)," state-run news agency ILNA reported on Friday.

“The university is not a place for professors who tend to act against the Islamic Republic and the wishes of epic rallies of December 30, 2009 and February 11, 2010,” he said, referring to state organized rallies in which Iranian regime called for harsh punishment of anti-regime protesters.

“The difference between our universities and those in the West lies in our ideology. Because of this, our professors must pay attention to the spread of Islamic ethics and education along with their teachings,” he added.

“Is it logical that an individual that… acts against the regime, skirts the flames of the riots continue to remain within our system?” He asked.

“It is better for these individuals to work elsewhere because the university is a center for training and education based on religious teachings,” he said.
