Iran: Millions of votes in election counts ‘zero’ without Khamenei’s approval, senior cleric states

NCRI – An election landslide for a president in the shame election in Iran that does not have the approval of the Supreme leader can not be considered as a victory, a leading regime cleric has declared.

Mashhad Friday prayer leader said: “Only with the approval of Ali Khamenei can 24 million, or even 240 million votes for a president have any meaning. Otherwise they count for nothing.

“What gives weight to all zeros is the approval of the Supreme Leader.”

The remarks by Ahmad Alamolhoda further exposes that for the mullahs in Iran voting is meaningless.

Alamolhoda – also a member of the Assembly of Experts – added: “The political ‘epic’ does not only mean participating in the election and the vote because that is a primary obligation. The purpose is create an epic event in the election process.”

Khamenei has named this year as the year of the ‘political and economic epic’, with Alamolhoda stating: “Creating an epic means guarding and protecting the system and preventing the entry of impure elements into the system..”

He also said on January 26 that the clerical regime had reached ‘a very crucial juncture in its life and is facing a historical turn’, stressing that the next president should be fully subservient to Khamenei.
