Iran: Khamenei’s mouthpiece attacks former Iranian regime’s president

NCRI – A state-run daily in Iran widely known as Ali Khamenei’s mouthpiece attacked two former presidents of the Iranian regime implicitly accusing them of acting in favor of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) and for the downfall of the regime.

Keyhan daily referring to Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani’s remarks regarding his letter to Khamenei in 2009 wrote: Rafsanjani did not explain anything about the anti-revolutionary groups that became aggressive and caused those street unrests, destructions and insulted the ‘Islamic Republic’, Khomeini and the Supreme Leader.

Keyhan on April 3, the first issue published after the Iranian New Year, also attacked Mohammad Khatami, the former president of the Iranian regime and accused him of praising Medhi Bazargan (the first Prime Minister of the Iranian regime after the 1979 revolution) ‘the person whom Khomeini said PMOI is his moral children.’

Also Kayhan indirectly pointed out to Khatami’s flattering Khamenei to get permission for attending the sham elections and added in a humiliating manner that every now and then, Khatami claims loyalty to Khomeini’s policies and shows concern over the values of the ‘Islamic revolution’.
