Iran: Khamenei rejects direct talks with U.S.

NCRI – The Iranian regime’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, on Thursday rejected offer of direct talks saying they would not solve the problems between them, Iranian regime’s state-run reported.

He noted that some factions inside Iranian regime seek the direct U.S. talks due to their “naivety.”

“Some naive people like the idea of negotiating with America, however, negotiations will not solve the problems,” Khamenei said in a speech to officials and members of Iran’s aerospace force.

According to the Associated Press, the remark was Khamenei’s first reaction to the idea of one-on-one talks between the two countries. Vice President Joe Biden brought up the direct talks, as an alternative to the international discussions that will take place later in the month.
