Iran: Daily ‘Iran’ banned for six months

NCRI – The Iranian regime judiciary has ordered ‘Iran’ newspaper banned for period of six months for publishing ‘false reports.’

The chief editor of the newspaper close to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad faction had been tried last week following a complaint filed by an individual, state-run Mehr news agency on Sunday.

In the past few weeks a number of people affiliated to various factions have been arrested as factional feuding has escalated.

Also there has been reports released today that State Security forces have arrested a number of those attending a campaign meeting for Hassan Rowhani.

Rowhani is one of eight candidates cleared by the Guardian Council, to run in this year’s June 14 sham elections.
