Indian businessmen illegally held in Iran

The family members of two Indian businessmen working in Iran, have alleged that the two men have been held by a company in Iran. Their passports have been confiscated and they cannot leave the country.

The wife of one of the two who are confined to a guest house in Zanjan city of Iran has appealed to the President of Indian National Congress Sonia Gandhi for her husband’s release.

Priti Pandya, wife of Sanket Pandya, has written a letter to Sonia Gandhi requesting help for the release of her husband, working as a manager with the Goa-based Power Engineering (India) Pvt Ltd, and Mohammed Hussain Khan.

The two have been detained over a month ago following a business dispute, India Times reported.

“My husband has been facing lot of hardships as he does not have money and is not allowed to move out of the guest house since the past 39 days,” Pandya wrote in the letter.
