Free Syrian Army captures Hezbollah members including high ranking commander

The Free Syrian Army has captured 11 members of Hezbolah including a high ranking military commander of the group, a member of highest military council of Syrian opposition has declared.

Rami al-Dalati, member of the Supreme Council of the Free Syrian Army, whose remarks were published by Arab news media stressed that the group will provide information and videos about the captured Hezbollah members.

Dalati also said: “We are witnessing defection of a high number of officers from Bashar al-Assad’s army.”

Hezbollah has suffered heavy losses in fighting for the Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad. Although the organization has tried prevent the media from reporting on the coffins of its members arriving from Syria, their arrival has been widely published in local media.

Hezbollah is under tremendous domestic pressure in Lebanon to withdraw from Syria.

Lebanon’s Daily Star reported on Tuesday that the Iranian regime has dispatched a high-ranking lieutenant colonel to Lebanon to help Hezbollah radically restructure its security apparatus after suffering from almost daily leaks.

The Iranian lieutenant colonel, identified as Mahmoud A., arrived recently in Lebanon, ” is expected to be involved in a series of changes and new appointments in a number of leading security posts, as well as reorganizing groups and cells,” the report said.
