France, EU to fight extremism that assassinated Bhutto – French FM

NCRI – French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner said Tuesday that Europe was determined to fight the kind of extremism that killed Pakistani OPPOSITION leader Benazir Bhutto, AFP reported.

"She was assassinated by an extremism that we, France and the European Union, have decided to fight," Kouchner told reporters on his arrival in Islamabad for a two-day visit, the report added.

"It would not be surprising that it was Islamist terrorism since I know that it makes its bed in the tribal zone" of Pakistan, Kouchner said, replying to a question.

In reaction to Mrs. Bhutto’s assassination, Mrs. Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), said, “the primary source of terrorism, bloodshed and terror engulfing the countries in the region, from Afghanistan to Pakistan, Iraq, Lebanon and Palestine is the fundamentalist regime ruling Iran.”

She added that misogynous octopus of terrorism and fundamentalism whose heart beats in Tehran could not tolerate Mrs. Bhutto as the head of the opposition in Pakistan. “The mullahs only thrive on carnage, violence and crisis,” she concluded.
