Former Diyala governor: Criminals enter Iraq with help from Iranian regime

Former Diyala governor: Criminals enter Iraq with help from Iranian regimeNCRI – The former governor of Iraq’s Diyala province warned in a televised interview with al-Sharqiya TV on Monday about the Iranian regime’s meddling in the province.

Dr. Abdollah al-Jabouri said, “The Iranian regime has established a presence in Diyala. It is meddling in all areas and we all know that the only point of entry for pilgrims is in Diyala. Even some of the tourists who come to Iraq do so without permission or valid passports.”

Dr. al-Jabouri added, “Some of these individuals were stopped at a check point. When they were asked for documentation, it was realized that most of the passengers on the bus were wanted. But, there were direct orders from Baghdad and some political leaders that these individuals should not be arrested. So, the Iranian regime is meddling and it is allowed to create chaos in Diyala and Iraq.”
